SPEAKERS



David C. Straus, Ph.D., Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, TX. Graduate of Loyola University of Chicago, where he majored in Microbiology. He is currently a Professor of Microbiology & Immunology. He teaches and does research at Texas Tech. He is a member of Sigma Xi, American Society of Microbiology and American Academy of Microbiology.



Sherry Rogers, M.D., Northeast Center for Environmental Medicine, Syracuse, NY

Dr. Rogers, M.D., in private practice for 30 years, is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice and American Board of Environmental Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. And American College of Nutrition. She has published fourteen books, a monthly referenced newsletter for 15 years, 18 scientific papers and chapters in textbooks.



William J. Rea, M.D., Environmental Health Center, Dallas.

Graduated with an M.D. from Ohio State University College of Medicine. Board Certified in Environmental Medicine, Thoracic and General Surgery. Member of AAEM, Pan American Allergy Society, American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Received the Jonathan Forman Gold Medal Award and the Herbert J. Rinkel Award from the AAEM. He is the author of Chemical Sensitivity, Your Home, Your Health & Your Well Being, Success in a Clean Bedroom and Optimum Environments for Optimum Health & Creativity.



William Croft, DVM, Ph.D., Mycotoxins, Environmental Diagnostic Group Inc., Madison, WI. Graduated with Ph.D. in Medical Pathology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. Current involved in studying human diseases within the environment from outbreak of human disease as a Medical Pathologist. Faculty member of the University of Wisconsin as Medical Pathologist, was accepted by the National Institute of Health as a Medical Pathologist, qualified to research human diseases.





Greg Long, President and CEO of TPV Group. TPV offers commercial and residential cleaning services specializing in HVAC and structure cleaning and decontamination. TPV started studying and practicing mold and bacteria remedial procedures in 1987. Currently the vice president on the board of directors of the Indoor Air Quality Association. Mr Long has a CIE certification, CMR certification, and an ASCS certification. He is also a Certified Deflooding Specialist, a Master Deflooding and Restoration Specialist and is certified by Texas Tech University as an Indoor Air Quality Technician.



Chris Rea, Environmental Consultant, RH of Texas, Dallas, TX. Graduated with MBA from the University of Dallas. President and owner of R. H. of Texas. For over 18 years Chris has been involved in the inspections, restoration and building of environmentally safe housing and commercial properties.



PUBLIC SESSION

In its 18th year "The Environmental - Health Connection" is an annual event that explores the delicate link between the modern world and its effect on our health. Sponsored as a community service by the American Environmental Health Foundation, the Public Session is held in conjunction with our Twenty-first Annual International Symposium on Man and His Environment in Health and Disease. This international medical conference is attended by physicians and scientists from around the world. The Public Session addresses the effects of present-day environmental factors on the human body. The primary purpose of the Public Session is to increase public awareness.



MEETING LOCATION

This year's Public Conference will be held in the Michelangelo Meeting Room of the Omni Richardson Hotel, 701 E. Campbell Road, Richardson. The Conference will begin at 10:00 a.m. and should be completed by 5:00 p.m.



FOUNDATION

The American Environmental Health Foundation (AEHF) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1975. The Foundation's goals are to educate the public, foster research into the effects of the environment upon the individual, and offer less-toxic products for homes, offices, and schools through its North Dallas retail, catalog and internet store. The Foundation has funded many major medical research projects and provided information, publications, and safe products to the medical community and the public.



STORE

The foundation store supplies the public with information and environmentally safe products for the home, office and school. The store contains more than 1,500 safe items including air and water filters, books, clothing and bedding, vitamins and minerals, paints, stains, sealers and caulks, as well as cleaning and personal care products. A catalog is also available with all of our environmentally safe products and some educational/research materials.



TICKET INFORMATION

Conference tickets and box lunch tickets to the Public Session are available by:



1. Mailing, e-mail (aehf@aehf.com) or faxing (214/361-2534) the order to AEHF before June 13, 2003. Your ticket(s) will be mailed to you.



2. Stop by the AEHF store at 8345 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 225, Dallas, Texas 75231. (Across the street from Presbyterian Hospital)



3. Registering at the Public Session, Omni Richardson Hotel beginning at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2003.



Seating is limited and available on a first come basis.



Public session tickets are $10.00 for both the morning and afternoon session. Your ticket is good for full day. Sorry, we cannot sell morning or afternoon tickets.



Tickets for the box lunch are $17.50 and must be purchased 48 hours in advance from AEHF. The box lunch consists of a grilled chicken breast on seven grain bread with honey mayonnaise, vegetable salad, bag of chips, pickle wedge, granola bar, whole fresh fruit and soft drink or bottled water. (No outside food can be brought into the conference room.)
