How It Works
Austin Air purifiers use a three-stage filtration process to help capture particles, odors, chemicals and smoke. Air first passes through a pre-filter designed to capture large particles. After the bigger particles are removed, the air passes through a carbon-zeolite mix to remove odors and chemicals. The true HEPA medical filter is the last layer, trapping 99.97% of particles, as small as 0.3 microns.
The Plus units feature an Activated Carbon/Zeolite Blend with Potassium Iodide: This additional filter treatment removes toxic chemical vapors (formaldehyde, ammonia, etc.)
