The Doulton HCS is a free-standing stainless steel countertop water filter system that requires no electricity, nor any permanent connection to your faucet. The HCS comes complete with a Doulton UltraCarb ceramic filter. Connects to your existing kitchen faucet spout with an easily attachable diverter valve.
To operate simply turn the knob on the diverter to send water through the filter system and out the spout. Turn the diverter knob back to allow water to flow normally though your kitchen faucet.
Filters out:

Pathogenic Bacteria (cholera, typhoid, salmonella, E-coli, etc.).

Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and other chlorine resistant parasites.

Particles such as rust down to 0.5 microns in size.

Chlorine, foul tastes and odors

Harmful heavy metals such as lead (when fitted with an Ultracarb filter).
Ceramic filters can be cleaned with a scotch-brite pad under running water to extended the life of the filter.
